Preschool 4 (Mrs. Strand)

Pre-K is off to a rollicking start. The children are doing a wonderful job learning new routines, and, importantly, entering into play, sharing, and taking turns.

This month we are learning about primates, including orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and mandrills and other types of monkeys. These wonderful, intelligent creatures are such a fascinating part of God’s creation.

We are also learning the important lessons Jesus taught us about kindness.

Soon we will be indulging our senses in all things fall, tasting apples, sorting acorns, and creating art featuring the beautiful colors of autumn. And of course, all along, we are developing our pre-reading and early numeracy skills.

We are grateful to be able to spend this special time with your children.

Five Black Crows

Five black crows by the old barn door,
One flew home and then there were four.

Four black crows in the old oak tree,
One flew home and then there were three.

Three black crows, shaking off the dew,
One flew home and then there were two.

Two black crows, warm in the sun,
One flew home and then there was one.

One black crow, hopping in the straw,
Flew away home with a “caw caw caw!”
