Preschool 3 Families,
I cannot believe it is already March! Time is truly flying in our Preschool 3 classroom.
In Pre-3, we emphasize hands-on learning experiences to help students fully engage with and understand our monthly themes. We also focus on play-based learning, which plays an important role in supporting each child’s social and emotional development. Through purposeful play and interactive activities, students build confidence, strengthen peer relationships, and develop essential early learning skills.
Week 1: Dr. Seuss Celebration
We will begin the month by celebrating the wonderful stories of Dr. Seuss. Throughout the week, we will explore his beloved books, learn how to identify Dr. Seuss characters, and practice important early literacy skills such as rhyming. All preschool classes will participate in a themed celebration week filled with special activities each day in honor of his birthday. It will be a joyful week of reading and learning!
Week 2: Exploring the Planets
During the second week, we will journey into space as we learn about the planets and our solar system. Students will be introduced to the names and characteristics of the planets through engaging discussions and hands-on activities designed to help strengthen their understanding in a fun and memorable way.
Week 3: St. Patrick’s Day
In the third week, we will learn about St. Patrick’s Day and its meaning. We will explore the traditions associated with this special day and participate in hands-on activities that support our learning objectives while celebrating together as a class.
Week 4: Spring
To close out the month, we will focus on the season of spring. Students will learn about the signs of spring and discuss how this season is different from winter, summer, and fall. Through observation and interactive activities, we will explore the changes happening in nature around us.
