Welcome to Our Kindergarten Class
Important News and Information
** I wanted to inform all our Kindergarten parents that our classroom is a Peanut/Treenut free class due to allergies within the classroom. Please know that if your child is bringing in snacks or lunch from home it needs to be free of these allergies to ensure the safety for all our students. Thank you for your help and support. **
I can’t believe we are more than half way through this wonderful school year! I am so happy with how our kindergartners are adjusting. They are such a kind, hard-working group, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.
Here’s a peek at what we’ve been working on so far:
- Language Arts: In our My View books we will be learning about informational text. We are continuing to practice tracing and writing sentence worksheets. I have now introduced important sight words for the students to remember. (an,at,a, I, you with, was, etc…)
- Math: We are now in subtraction, we are beginning with numbers 1-5 subtraction with the concept of taking away using manipulatives (blocks, counters, etc..)
- Religion: This is the month of Prudence which is all about making good decisions in specific circumstances. In our Religion books we are focusing on Jesus and his disciples.
