Happy New Year!! Welcome to 2026….

As we start up another calendar year, we continue our school year with a wrap up of Q2 this month. Grades will be closing on Friday January 16th/Tuesday Jan 20th with report cards going out on Monday Jan 26th.

We will celebrate MLK Jr with a long weekend, as well as end the month celebrating Catholic Schools Week!

After that, we will transition into Catholic Schools Week 2026!!

History Classes Notes:

Grade 5 – Early American History

We will finish up studying Colonization and then transition to the 13 Colonies.

Grade 6 – U.S. History I

Finishing up our work around the Early Republic culminating with our Play performance of The Louisiana Purchase and The Lewis-Clark Expedition. Then we will begin the study of the War of 1812.

Grade 7 – U.S. History II

As we wrap up the Era of Reconstruction, we will end the month with our first Unit Exam covering all of the Civil War Era.

Grade 8 – Ancient Civilizations

Ancient Greece and Greek Mythology will be the next area of study, with significant time towards the stories of Mythology.
