Below are upcoming events/reminders and what we will be learning in December.
Upcoming events/reminders:
Student Council Toys for Tots Drive is collecting new, unwrapped toys until 12-19. Please help the local Holyoke Police Department bring toys to local children in need. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
Gingerbread Shoppe – Flyer went home on 12-3. Our shopping day is Weds., 12-10. All items are $1.
Progress Report for the 2nd Quarter will be going home on 12-12. Please sign and return and a copy will be made and sent back home.
RaiseRight Gift Card Fundraiser – flyer went home on 11-24. The last order date for the month is Dec. 10. Gift cards will be delivered by the 17th.
Christmas Concert – Weds., Dec. 17 at 6pm. More details to follow.
Christmas Pageant – Friday, Dec. 19 at 9:30am in the gymnasium. All Kindergarten and First Graders will have parts in the pageant.  A note will be sent home shortly letting everyone know the parts children will play. If your child is not going to be here for the pageant, please let me know.
Parent/Student Handbook 2025-2026 – please read through the updated handbook and sign/date the last page and return in your child’s daily folder. Both parent and student must sign the form.
Our last day of school before the Christmas break is Tuesday, Dec. 23rd. We have a ½ day. There will be no lunch served. Buses will be running. Please be prompt when picking up your child. If your child will not be attending school on that day, please let me know in advance.
Uniform Policy – Our school uniform policy has been updated. Please refer to the school website for all changes.
Colder weather is upon us! Please make sure your child brings a jacket or sweatshirt to school.Â

Solving addition problems using different strategies; solving different types of addition word problems; using strategies for solving subtraction facts to 20.

Continue with plant survival and how they use their parts to meet their needs; animals and how they communicate; animal structures and their functions; animals and their parents; animal behaviors.
Social Studies:
How have rights and responsibilities changed over time; how do maps help us; kinds of maps; globes; where do we live; location and weather.
Please continue to read and practice math facts daily for accuracy and fluency!
