Homeroom Notes:

March is upon us and Spring is close….
We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, St. Joseph’s Day, Women’s History Month and much more.

Also, we will continue our Lenten journeys with masses at St. Jerome’s throughout the month. In addition, on Friday 3/13 our class will travel to OLOTC for the Stations of the Cross with Fr. Albert.

This month’s donation item is….. Boxes of Dessert mixes!

History Classes Notes:

PLEASE NOTE:

**All Middle school students will be working on a HerStory Assignment, which is a Women’s History Month Project. These are slideshows.
**All middle school students will be working on History of St. Patrick’s Day assignments

Grade 5 – Early American History

We have begun to study the beginning of the French and Indian War, while studying this content we are also working on organizational skills by utilizing a table of contents for a binder project that will be done.

Grade 6 – U.S. History I

Students are continuing to move through the early history of the United States as we focus on the War of 1812, the Industrial Revolution, and into Westward Expansion.

Grade 7 – U.S. History II

Grade 7 has begun to learn about the New West and the completion of the contagious United States. Move will begin to enter into early 20th century history with the age of inventions, the roaring 20s, Prohibition, and Women’s Suffrage.

Grade 8 – Ancient Civilizations

The 8th graders have finished up their studies on Ancient Greece and Greek Mythology and begun to learn about Ancient Rome and Roman Mythology. We will contrast and compare the two , culminating in a Unit Test on all four topics.
