Important News / Information:Â Week 10/27 – 10/31
Tuesday, 10/28 – Fletcher Farms Pumpkin Patch
Thursday, 10/30 – Early Dismissal at 11:30 am for Parent – Teacher Conferences. Forms regarding setting up a Parent – Teacher conference were sent home. Â
Friday, 10/31 – Happy Halloween! Today our class will celebrate with a small in-class party. The Halloween Parade will take place at 1:45 pm. ** Please remember that costumes may be worn to school, but need to be appropriate, and not too scary or gory as we have very many young students who attend our school. Thank you with your help and ongoing support. **

Math 8 (Algebra):
The 8th grade Algebra class will continue to learn about polynomials with Chapter 4 : Lesson 4-5 “Multiplying Polynomials by Monomials”. During this week we will complete daily in-class and homework assignments to help prepare for this week’s math quiz on Topic 4-5 “Multiplying Polynomials by Monomials”, is scheduled on Thursday, 10/30. Â
Religion 8:
The 8th grade Religion class will continue Unit 2 “We Belong” with learning Session 9 “Sent on a Mission” from our “Finding God” books.  Along with learning our various sessions from our Religion books “Finding God”, we will watch videos and complete lessons from Studio 3:16 that will reinforce lessons on the Bible and Gospels. We will also focus learning about Virtues of Faith with different themes and saints. This year our virtue is “Charity”, and the theme for the month of October is Friendship …..sharing a mutual love that seeks the good of the other. The saint we are learning about for the month of October is Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.Â
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
The 7th grade Pre-Algebra class will continue to learn about analyzing and solving percent problems with Topic 3 : 3-3 “Represent and Use the Percent Equation” (Lesson 7-4 in the Pre-Algebra book). We will be using the 7th grade Pre-Algebra books to align with the Envision Book lessons. During this week we will complete daily in-class and homework assignments to help prepare for this week’s math quiz on Topic 3-3  “Represent and Use the Percent Equation” (Lesson 7-4 in the Pre-Algebra book) is scheduled on Thursday, 10/30.Â
Religion 7:
The 7th grade Religion class will continue Unit 2 “The Early Life of Jesus” with learning Session 9 “Jesus Grew in Wisdom, Age, and Grace” from our “Finding God” books.  Along with learning our various sessions from our Religion books “Finding God”, we will complete lessons from Studio 3:16 that will reinforce lessons on the Bible and Gospels. We will also focus on learning about Virtues of Faith with different themes and saints. This year our virtue is “Charity”, and the theme for the month of October is Friendship…..sharing a mutual love that seeks the good of the other. The saint we are learning about for the month of October is Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. Â

The 6th grade math class will continue to learn about integers and rational numbers with Topic 2: Lesson 2-4 “Represent Rational Numbers on the Coordinate Plane”. During this week we will complete daily in-class and homework assignments to help prepare for this week’s math quiz on Topic 2-4 “Represent Rational Numbers on the Coordinate Plane” is scheduled on Thursday, 10/30.  Along with learning the regular math topics for each week, we will reinforce your multiplication facts skills with weekly “Timed Multiplication” math quizzes. This week the “Timed” Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Lesson 9 “Cumulative Review” on Wednesday, 10/29.Â
Math 5:
The 5th grade math class will continue to learn about fluently multiplying multi-digit whole numbers with Topic 3: Lesson 3-4 “Multiply 2-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers”. During this week we will complete daily in-class and homework assignments to help prepare for this week’s math quiz on Topic 3-4 “Multiply 2-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers” is scheduled on Thursday, 10/30.  Along with learning the regular math topics for each week, we will reinforce your multiplication facts skills with weekly “Multiplication” math quizzes. This week the weekly Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Lesson 4 “Threes and Review” on Wednesday, 10/29.Â
