Pre K April 2026 Newsletter
Spring is here! We are looking forward to the warmer weather filled with sunshine and blue skies. Hopefully, it is coming soon. As we watch the children play, we are really speaking of the children’s growth this year. They are growing physically, mentally, and spiritually. Each child has grown taller, each has learned so many new things, and each has made an impact on our lives.
Please keep in mind as the weather warms up our sneaker only policy is still in effect. It is the safest and most comfortable shoe for the students to wear to play in the mulch or run in the gym. No Crocs please. The students are constantly falling out of them while running, and they are constantly stopping to dump mulch build up. If your child insists on wearing the inappropriate footwear, please put a pair of sneakers in their backpack, and we will be happy to have them change their shoes at school as we understand mornings can be difficult. We will be sending home all of the clothes in the closet on your child’s last day before Spring Vacation so that you can switch it to properly-sized and seasonally appropriate clothing (maybe a pair of shorts and a long pair of pants).
We have been working hard on our letter bags, and we have officially completed the alphabet! We will continue to work on letter recognition, letter sounds, numbers, and shapes. Letter sounds is a big priority as our pre-kindergarteners get ready to read! We will be introducing different math concepts and CVC blends in these last months of school.
