Happy Fall!
In Preschool 4 we’re celebrating the season with songs, fingerplays, and stories. And, of course, fall crafts. Recently the children made sun prints from nature items, and we’re creating beautiful paintings in oranges, reds, and yellows.
We’ve been enjoying building our letter and letter sound identification skills with games, especially letter bingo and Magic Box. The children have also been practicing writing their names.
We continue with number and shape identification, counting on, and other early math skills.
The children are invited to bring in pinecones, acorns, interesting small sticks, and other items for us to create a little fairy table in our room. I’m excited to see where they will take this project.
And of course, our most important “work” in preschool is play. Play is how children grow in language, empathy, cooperation, and curiosity.
Enjoy all the wonders of this beautiful season!
