Happy Almost Spring, Preschool 4 Families!
We’re opening March with our annual Dr. Seuss Week. We’ll enjoy games, crafts, and of course, books, with Wednesday being a morning of fun with the other two preschool classes.
This month we’ll also be learning about wolves, as the children have expressed an interest. Later in the month we’ll dive into learning about weather, talking about clouds, measuring rainfall, and learning about wind and storms. We’ll incorporate some science and art projects. And we’ll add to our Bird Wall.
In phonological awareness, we’ll continue identifying first and last word sounds, plus some middle sounds, and connecting sounds with letters, while of course playing with rhyme and syllables.
The children will continue to practice writing their names, incorporating lowercase letters as appropriate.
For math, we’ll keep working with counting on and numeral identification.
For our faith curriculum, we’ll be talking about the miracles of Jesus. We will also touch very gently on the story of Jesus’ death, so that we can celebrate Easter as the day Jesus returned to all of His friends, filling them with wonder and joy.
Your children are certainly a wonder, and fill our Preschool classroom with much joy! Thank you, as always, for entrusting them to my care. And of course, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
