April 1, 2026
Hello Preschool 4 Families!
It’s hard to believe it’s April already. It’s a wonderful time for us to shift our focus outdoors and celebrate the natural world.
The children are excited to watch their marigold seeds sprouting. Later this month we’ll also introduce some livestock into our room – several butterfly chrysalises. They likely won’t hatch until well into May, but it will be exciting to watch in the meantime.
We’re continuing to learn about the weather, through books, observations, and art projects that honor God’s wonderful creation.
And of course, we continue with all the basics of our preschool curriculum, focusing on social and emotional wellness, phonological awareness, early writing, number sense, and gross and fine motor strength.
Here are some important upcoming dates:
April 3 – Good Friday, no school
April 6 – Easter Monday, no school
Thursday, April 16 – Open House/Education Fair, 5:30-7 p.m.
April 20-24 – April Vacation
As always, please share any questions or concerns. And thank you for allowing me to create this wonderful little community with your children.

Five Spring Flowers
Five spring flowers all in a row.
The first one said, “We need rain to grow!”
The second one said, “Oh my, we need water.”
The third one said, “It’s getting hotter!”
The fourth one said, “I see clouds in the sky.”
The fifth one said, “I wonder why?”
Then BOOM went the thunder and ZAP went the lightning.
The springtime storm was rather frightening!
But the flowers weren’t worried, no, no, no, no!
The rain helped them to grow, grow, grow.
A Little Seed for Me to Sow
A little seed for me to sow,
a little soil to make it grow.
A little hole, a little pat,
a little wish, and that is that.
A little sun, a little shower,
A little while, and then a flower!
