Pre-Kindergarten (Mrs. Kelly)

    Pre-kindergarten March 2026

The students in pre-kindergarten enjoyed another busy month.  We had fun celebrating Valentine’s Day and those we love!

As we move into the month of March, we will be shifting our focus to St. Patrick’s Day and catching those sneaky leprechauns!  We will be encouraging the children to use both their imagination and problem-solving skills to find the leprechaun’s gold.  We will also be learning the what, where and when facts about rainbows.

Please continue to help your child with their Alpha bags.  Each child truly enjoys sharing with their classmates and your support is appreciated.  We have also begun our Lenten unit and will continue to have gentle conversations and stories in preparation for Easter throughout this month.  Thank you for the Good Deeds eggs for our bulletin board!  It is looking great!  Please keep them coming.

Curriculum

March 2nd – March 6th Dr. Seuss/RhymingWe are beginning this first week by celebrating Dr. Seuss and enjoying meeting some of his characters.  Some of the learning activities include learning to identify rhyming words and creating some of Dr. Seuss’ characters.

March 9th – 17th St Patrick’s Day:  This week we will enjoy many stories, songs, and activities to help us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  In addition, we are asking your child to wear green on Tuesday, March 17th.  The children will participate in a fun filled search for the legendary “pot of gold” by following clues left for us by the Leprechaun.  This is a very exciting day!

A few gentle reminders…

  • We have tried to contact families when your child has either had a spill or an accident during the day through Class Dojo. In the event that we forget to message you, as our day is busy, please remember to check your child’s backpack and put a replacement outfit to replace their extra clothes supply.
  • As the weather will begin to change from snowy to rainy, we realize that children LOVE to wear their rain boots to school.  As we know everyone’s mornings are busy, please skip the discussion of sneakers at school.  Just place a pair of sneakers in their backpack and we will make sure that they change from their rain boots to sneakers at school.

Lastly….GREAT JOB FAMILIES!  We appreciate all that you do, and your children are absolutely wonderful. They amaze us and make us laugh every day.  We are blessed to be their teachers.

Love,

Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Rodriguez
