Preschool 4 (Mrs. Strand)

Happy Almost Spring, Preschool 4 Families!

We didn’t get to space exploring last month, so we’ll be doing that this month, after we finish up our Dr. Seuss Week. We’ll be learning about our solar system and experimenting with a little rocket science. 

We’re also going to be talking about weather this month. We’ll be identifying different types of clouds, measuring rainfall, and talking about wind and storms. We’ll incorporate some science and art projects. It should be pretty exciting!

In phonological awareness, we’ll be connecting lowercase letters with beginning sounds, while of course continuing to play with rhyme and syllables. 

The children will continue to practice writing their names, incorporating lowercase letters as appropriate. For math, we’ll keep working with counting on and numeral identification.

For our faith curriculum, we’ll be talking about God as Creator, and Jesus as Teacher about God. We will touch very gently on the story of Jesus’ death, so that we can celebrate Easter as the day Jesus returned to all of His friends, filling them with wonder and joy.
