Math 8 (Algebra):
 

We will continue learning about Polynomials this week....using our 8th grade Algebra books "Algebra, Structure and Method - Book 1".  During this week we will complete Topic 4 "Polynomials" with Lesson 4-5 "Multiplying Polynomials by Monomials" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 4 - 5 "Multiply Polynomials by Monomials"  is scheduled on Friday, 11/1.
 
 
 
Religion 8:
 
We will continue with using our 8th Grade Religion books "Finding God",  and begin Unit 2 "We Belong".  During this week we will complete Session 6  "We Believe".  We will also focus on the "Rosary" for the month of October, and will be learning about Saint Therese of Lisieux for our Saint Project.  ** Along with using our Religion books, we will continue with studying Virtues in Practice with focusing on "Hope".  The Virtue for the month of October is "Studiousness....Seeking knowledge to grow closer to Truth".  The Saint we will learn about for the month of October is Saint Edith Stein. **
 
 
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
 
We will continue to learn about percents / percent problems this week using our 7th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 3 "Analyze and Solve Percent Problems" with Lesson 3-3 "Represent and Use the Percent Equation" (Topic 7-4 : The Percent Equation) in our 7th grade Pre-Algebra books with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 3-3 "Represent and Use the Percent Equation" (Topic 7-4 in Pre-Algebra books) is scheduled on Friday, 11/1.  
 
 
 
 
 
Math 6:
 
We will continue to learn about integers and rational numbers this week using our 6th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 2 "Integers and Rational Numbers" with Lesson 2-4 "Represent Rational Numbers on the Coordinate Plane" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.   The math quiz on Topic 2-4 "Represent Rational Numbers on the Coordinate Plane" is scheduled on Friday, 11/1.  Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 10/30 on Lesson 9 - A Cumulative Review. **
 
 
 
Math 5:
 
We will continue with reviewing and learning about multiplying multi-digit whole numbers using our 5th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 3 "Fluently Multiply Multi-Digit Whole Numbers" with Lesson 3-5 "Multiply 3-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 3-5 "Multiply 3-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers" is scheduled on Friday, 11/1.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 10/30 on Lesson 4 - "Threes and Review" **
