Math 8 (Algebra):
 
We will continue to review about applying fractions with ratio, proportion and percent problems this week....using our 8th grade Algebra books "Algebra, Structure and Method - Book 1".  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 7 "Applying Fractions - Percent Problems" with Lesson 7-5 "Percents" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 7-5 "Percents "  is scheduled on Thursday, 12/12.
 
 
 
Religion 8:
 
We will continue with using our 8th Grade Religion books "Finding God",  and continue with Unit 2 "We Belong".  During this week we will complete Session 10  "Celebrating Advent and Christmas",  and we will focus on learning about the Advent Season - Week 2 "Peace".   ** Along with using our Religion books, we will learn and complete lessons with Studio 3:16, and we will continue with studying Virtues in Practice with focusing on "Hope".  The Virtue for the month of December  is "Patience....waiting or enduring without complaint".  The Saint we will learn about for the month of December is Saint Rita of Cascia. **
 
 
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
 
We will continue to learn about how to simplify and generate equivalent expressions this week using our 7th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 4 "Generate Equivalent Expressions" with Lesson 4-2 - (Part 2) "Generate Equivalent Expressions" (Topic 2-2 : The Distributive Property) in our 7th grade Pre-Algebra books with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 4-2 - (Part 2) "Generate Equivalent Expressions" (Topic 2-2 in Pre-Algebra books) is scheduled on Thursday, 12/12.   
 
 
  
 
Math 6:
 
We will continue to learn about numeric and algebraic expressions this week using our 6th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 3 "Numeric and Algebraic Expressions" with Lesson 3-3 (Part 2) "Write and Evaluate Numerical Expressions" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.   The math quiz on Topic 3-3 (Part 2) "Write and Evaluate Numerical Expressions" is scheduled on Friday, 12/13.  Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly "Timed" Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's "Timed" Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 12/11 on Lesson 14 - Cumulative Review. **
 
 
 
Math 5:
 
We will complete to learn about multiplying decimals using our 5th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will continue to learn about  Topic 4 "Use Models and Strategies to Multiply Decimals" with Lesson 4-7 "Use Properties to Multiply Decimals" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz. The math quiz on Topic 4-7 "Use Properties to Multiply Decimals" is scheduled on Thursday, 12/12.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 12/11 on Lesson 10 - "Cumulative Review" **
