Math 8 (Algebra):
 
We will continue to review and learn about functions this week using our 8th grade Algebra books "Algebra, Structure and Method - Book 1".  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 8 "Introduction to Functions" with Lesson 8-5 "Determining an Equation of a Line" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 8-5 "Determining an Equation of a Line" will be on Friday, 2/28.
 
 
 
Religion 8:
 
We will continue with using our 8th Grade Religion books "Finding God",  and begin Unit 4 "We Are Called".  During this week we will complete Session 16  "The Protestant Reformation".  We will also begin our journey with learning about the Lenten Season.  Along with using our Religion books, we will learn and complete lessons with Studio 3:16, and we will continue with studying Virtues in Practice with focusing on "Hope".  ** The Virtue for the month of February is "Cheerfulness....looking on the bright side".  The Saint we will learn about for the month of February is Blessed Miguel Augustin Pro. **
 
 
 
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
 
We will continue to learn about how to solve problems using equations and inequalities this week using our 7th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 2 books.  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 5 "Solve Problems Using Equations and Inequalities" with Lesson 5-2 -(Lesson 3-1 in Pre-Algebra books) "Solve Two-Step Equations"  with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 5-2 (Lesson 3-1)  "Solve Two-Step Equations" will be on Friday, 2/28.
 
 
  
 
Math 6: 
 
We will continue to learn about representing and solving equations and inequalities this week using our 6th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will begin to learn Topic 4 "Represent and Solve Equations and Inequalities" with Lesson 4-4 "Write and Solve Multiplication and Division Equations" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 4-4 "Write and Solve Multiplication and Division Equations" will be on Friday, 2/28.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly "Timed" Division fact quizzes for the remainder of the school year.   ** This week's "Timed" Division Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 2/26 on Lesson #2 - Division Facts to 25. **
 
 
 
Math 5:
 
We will begin to learn and review models and strategies to divide decimals using our 5th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will begin to learn Topic 6 "Use Models and Strategies to Divide Decimals" with Lesson 6 - 1 "Patterns for Dividing with Decimals" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 6 - 1 "Patterns for Dividing with Decimals" will be on Friday, 2/28.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  All multiplication facts for the remainder of the school year will be "timed".  ** This week's "Timed" Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 2/26 on Lesson 5 - "Fours and Review" **
