Math 8 (Algebra):
 

We will continue this week with learning how to Solve Equations....using our 8th grade Algebra books "Algebra, Structure and Method - Book 1".  During this week we will complete Topic 3 "Solving Equations and Problems" with Lesson 3-3 "Using Several Transformations" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 3-3 "Using Several Transformations"  is scheduled on Friday, 9/20.
 
 
 
Religion 8:
 
We will continue the school year with our 8th Grade Religion book "Finding God" with Unit 1 "The Early Church".  During this week we will be reading Session 3 "Witnesses to the Faith".   Along with using our Religion books, we will continue with studying Virtues in Practice with focusing on "Hope".  The Virtue for the month of September is Hope....trusting in God's loving plan.  The Saint we will learn about for the month of September are Saints Louis and Zelie Martin.
 
 
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
 
We will continue this week learning about integers (positive and negative numbers) using our 7th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 1 "Rational Number Operations" with Lesson 1 - 6 "Multiply Integers" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 1 - 6 "Multiply Integers" is scheduled on Friday, 9/20.  
 
 
Math 6:
 
We will continue this week with learning how to Divide Fractions using our 6th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 1 "Use Positive Rational Numbers" with Lesson 1-4  "Understand Division with Fractions" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.   The math quiz on Topic 1- 4 "Understand Division with Fractions" is scheduled on Friday, 9/20.  Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 9/18 on Lesson 3 - Fives and Review. **
 
 
Math 5:
 
We will continue this week with learning about decimals using our 5th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will complete Topic 1 "Understand Place Value" with Lesson 1 - 6 "Round Decimals" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 1 - 6 "Round Decimals" is scheduled on Friday, 9/20.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  ** This week's Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 9/18 on Multiplcation Facts 7's and 8's**
