Mater Dolorosa School Unity Garden

The Unity Garden is a show of support for peace in Ukraine.  It is a way for our community to support Ukraine, by raising funds to donate to charities such as Caritas Poland and other Polish and Ukrainian charities in need that are working around the clock to provide aid to the millions of Ukrainian people who have fled their homes and have sought shelter in Poland and around the world.

The children of Mater Dolorosa School are planting the national flowers of Ukraine (sunflowers), Russia (chamomile), and Poland (poppies) to show solidarity for all the people in the region affected by this tragedy.  It is only through all people united together, against tyranny, that peace will be possible.

We invite you to visit the Unity Garden over the summer as the flowers start to bloom, located behind Mater Dolorosa School in Pulaski Park
